The Basics

What happened to Arkansas AM&N College Federal Credit Union?

Arkansas AM&N College Federal Credit Union merged with Cotton Belt Federal Credit Union on June 30, 2026. Your accounts have transferred and you're now a full Cotton Belt member with access to both of our branches and all of our products and services.

When did this take effect?

The merger became official on June 30, 2026.

Were Arkansas AM&N College Federal Credit Union members notified of the merger?

Yes. AM&N members voted on this merger on May 5, 2026 and approved it 92 to 3.

When were members notified of this merger?

Members were notified ahead of the May 5, 2026 vote, and a question and answer session was held at that meeting. If you haven't already, you'll also receive a formal welcome letter in the mail with your new account information.

Your Accounts & Rates

Will my loan stay the same?

Yes. Your loan balance, interest rate, and remaining term all carry over exactly as they were. Nothing changes.

Will my savings account stay the same?

Your savings account and balance have transferred to Cotton Belt. Your savings rate will now follow Cotton Belt's current rates, which differ from what you had with AM&N. To get your specific new rate, please call us at 870.535.6365 (Pine Bluff) or 870.247.2181 (White Hall). Our rates aren't listed online, so our team can give you the most accurate, up-to-date information.

Will my account numbers change?

If you had accounts at both AM&N and Cotton Belt, your existing Cotton Belt account/member number will be used for everything going forward, there's no need for a new one. If AM&N was your only account, you'll be assigned a new Cotton Belt account/member number as part of this transition. Your welcome letter will include your account information along with instructions on how to enroll in our electronic services. Is my money insured?

Yes. Cotton Belt Federal Credit Union is federally insured to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government, National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. Government Agency.

Is the Arkansas AM&N College FCU branch still open?

The AM&N branch has closed as part of the merger. You're welcome at either of our two full-service locations.

How do I open a checking account?

You can open a free checking account online in minutes, or stop into either branch and our team will help you get set up. A checking account comes with a debit card and access to online and mobile banking. Questions? Call 870.535.6365.

How do I enroll in online banking and the mobile app?

Enroll in online banking and manage your money anytime, anywhere. Please note that you must enroll in online banking via a desktop computer or by stopping into a branch location. Once enrolled, you can manage your accounts, transfer funds, send money with Zelle, deposit checks, and more, right from your phone.
